We are currently hiring tutors for all subjects
We would like to talk with you if you have recently studied or taught math, chemistry, physics, reading, or writing. We look for tutors who are passionate about teaching and can describe complex concepts in easy-to-understand ways.
We highly value teaching & tutoring experience, but it is not required. Applicants with a master’s or bachelor’s degree are preferred. However, we are also looking to hire students working towards their undergraduate degrees.
We want to serve our clients incredibly well and be the best service they have ever used. To do that, we are looking for trustworthy tutors with great empathy, passion for teaching, and academic understanding.
You must have
- At least 10 hours per week available for tutoring (this includes potential travel time) – afternoon and evening sessions are the most common.
- A working vehicle, auto insurance, and a valid driver’s license to attend in-home tutoring sessions.
- A drawing pad with a compatible pen for online tutoring.
- The ability to pass a background check.
- Availability to tutor for one (1) year or more.
How tutoring works with us:
Our tutors are independent contractors, so you can choose when you tutor, how long you tutor, and how much you charge. You then get to keep 75% of your earnings. Should you be accepted to be a tutor, you will have to pass our tutor training exam, and then you can start teaching.
We usually recommend that applicants have at least three weeknights available to tutor per week. Families and students will generally request tutoring times during the afternoon & evening hours Monday through Thursday and sometimes during the weekend. Therefore, we prefer applicants who can devote 3+ nights per week to tutoring for at least one year.
